My love for reading BLUMEs!

So I happened to read that this month is author Judy Blume’s birthday!  Every girl I knew in the late 70s and early eighties was reading her books. I mean come on, Are  you there God? It’s me Margaret what girl my age did not read that one?? Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing? Super Fudge?  Judy Blume wrote for us girls. Her books are like our generations girl power anthems! I so enjoyed reading her books in elementary school as did my friends and we would talk about them as we passed them around over weeks at a time to read them. Like a book club I suppose.  I confess, I probably read those over and over again which is probably why I still read books more than once.  I think that’s a sign that the author knows her stuff. So happy birthday Judy and thanks for Margaret,  the very first friend I ever found in a book.
