It’s Dr. Seuss’s birthday today! A day for children to celebrate reading! How many times have we read The Cat in the Hat or Green Eggs and Ham?. As both a child and again as a teacher I can easily say I’ve read them one hundred times at least. Theodore Geisel, who began his life as Dr. Seuss on sort of a whim gave the love of reading to children everywhere. The fun characters, funny stories, sing song style and honest life lessons make early reading and learning easy and fun! Celebrate Dr. Seuss today and pick up your favorite book and give it a go!
