Around this time of year, if you ask any teacher how many school days remaining they’ll tell you right down to the second. It’s June and we have survived! We survived with all our hair, good looks and sanity. It was a long year filled with long hours, not enough sleep, yard duty, rainy day schedules, field trips, school events and parent/teacher conferences. We are exhausted. We pack up our room, say goodbye to “our kids” and we turn off the morning alarm. Praise God, we can sleep past 5:30am! August will come soon enough and we will return to the classroom ready for new kids and new challenges. Until then, raise a glass to the teachers! Well done y’all!
