Two of my favorite classic leading ladies are Audrey hepburn and Jane Austen. Maybe it’s because they both represent intelligence wrapped up in grace and elegance. One had the opportunity to show us what it looks like while the other brought it to life with the stroke of her pen. Powerful Ladies, walking the walk! Go Girls!
Watching any of Audrey’s characters they are always graceful, wise and filled with determination. As was the lady herself. Grace, intelligence and grit are powerful qualities to possess. Somewhere I have on my bookshelf a book titled, “What would Audrey Do?” I often think WWAD in certain situations. I mean, sometimes a girl just has to grab a croissant and eat in in front of Tiffany’s looking fab. Some days are just like that.
As for Jane, she has taught me that character matters. Elizabeth, Anne, Emma, and their male counterparts Darcy, Captain Wentworth and Mr. Knighlty. SWOON. These characters always found their way, held strong to their determination and wit, all while remaining with the upmost propriety.
All this to say, I wonder how my little Bea Bee with encourage littles everywhere to buzz through life? I hope it’s with kindness, determination and a whole lot ‘bee’lieving in themselves!!
WWBD??
