Happy Fourth!

Today always feels like the start of summer for me. As an educator for so many years and having June always be the end of the school year and begining of summer school/camp, July 4th always sets as the starting event of actual summer vacation. Now if the retail stores would stop putting out school supplies on July 5th that would be awesome. Honestly, what in the world!?!

Take some time today to celebrate our nation and all the opportuities we have and can give to others. Especially the opportunity of education! Think about signing up for a summer art class, or photography or cooking class or even picking a up an educational book. I recently picked up an ASL book because I have always wanted to learn sign language. Summer is the perfect time to learn something new while off on new adventures or new beginings.

So as we celebrate The Land of Opportunity today, I hope you feel inspired today to go “FOURTH” and find your next opportunty!
